Monty R. Warren co-founded Coel & Warren, P.L. with Mark A. Coel in April 2005. He has been a trial lawyers since 1985 and has focused his expertise in the area of medical and hospital liability defense. He has been assigned the highest rating of AV- by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating system as possessing a superior reputation for his professional abilities and ethical conduct. He was recently honored as A.M. Best's Recommended Insurance Attorneys.

Mr. Warren has successfully tried and obtained defense verdicts in
numerous medical negligence and other civil matters. He has also obtained numerous defense judgments against plaintiffs over the span of his career. He has successfully prosecuted motions which have led to outright dismissals of claims brough fraudulently against physicians.

Because of his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Warren has lectured to several medical and trial associations including Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Counsel, Inc., Florida Society of Internal Medicine, Florida Medical Foundation and First Professionals Insurance Company's statewide defense counsel on topics such as Effectiveness of Surveillance Prior to Mediation and Loss Prevention through Proper Documentation.

He maintains active professional memberships in The Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the American Bar Association.

A graduate of Emory University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 and was awarded an Emory scholarship. Mr. Warren went on to earn his Juris Doctorate in 1985 from the School of Law at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he was honored with the Baldy Fellowship for Law and Social Policy, through which he put himself through law school.
